The biggest player in the safety of endangered groups online is Google. All the key features that are missing today are fixed better on the operating system level: plausible deniability using second pins, second profiles for compartmentalization, selective system-level wipes and panic buttons, even app-level requirements can be enforced on the app store policy level.
The community will continue to work with the app companies, use their help and hold them accountable, but the companies could also join us in asking Google and Apple for these features implemented at the operating system level.
Apple also, but Android is more prevalent.

- Social verification/reputation of potential dates using your own contacts (gossip mode): "is this person safe?" or even: "are they going to ghost me?"
