Please note that when spending there is a multiplier, that increases the
|
|
amount of money spend. Saving does not help the economy (unless you're
|
|
investing in something else), yet it might be eco friendly.
|
|
However, spending on local products, encouraging local tourism and
|
|
trying to invest in Egypt will boost the economy.
|
|
I believe one thing to do is to try to maintain your lifestyle, as
|
|
everything we used to do benefit the economy one way or another; we
|
|
should keep it that way. We should also think of those people who might
|
|
loose their jobs because nobody buys from them any more! I think we
|
|
should all be aware of how to maintain, if not enhance the status quo.=20
|
|

the chance to share with you another initiative, and I hope that it

would bring added values to our beloved country "Egypt".

As a result to the current situation in Egypt, the following

|
consequences are expected during this year due to the security and
|
|
uncertainty of the political situations:

1) Decreasing of the incoming tourists
|
|
|
|
2) Decreasing & running away of the foreign direct investments=20

|
|
3) Devaluation of the Egyptian currency in front of USD & Euro

This will lead to increasing of the unemployment rate, investors will be
|
|
more cautious to invest, investment costs will be high, the supply of
|
|
USD foreign currency will be reduced and government deficit will be
|
|
increased. So, I thought of something and I want to share it with all of
|
|
you.

|
One of the ways to increase the economy of any country is to focus on
|
|
local consumption of its people. My point is to increase it more in a
|
|
way to compensate the drop that will happen due the decrease of tourism
|
|
and foreign direct investment sources, it will not compensate it
|
|
totally, but it will achieve a change. Accordingly, we should consume in
|
|
a smart way than the way we used to it before. How?
|
|
|
|

|
|
1) If you are consuming too much bread, please try to reduce your
|
|
consumption or find another substitute. As you know, that Egypt is one
|
|
of top 3 countries worldwide in wheat consumption and we import huge
|
|
quantities of wheat.
|
|
|
|
2) Reduction the using of your private car, whatever through using
|
|
public transportation or reducing the outing numbers or going out in
|
|
places around your region.
|
|
|
|
3) Reduction the electricity consumption in office and home
|
|
(A/C,lights,.....etc)
|
|
|
|
4) Avoid travelling outside Egypt for holidays and spend it inside
|
|
Egypt.
|
|
|
|
5) Reduction the purchase of imported products if there are
|
|
substituted ones from Egypt with (Good quality/price)
|
|
|
|

|
|
These are some ideas. It's you, who can decide how to consume in a
|
|
smarter way. Wishing that you can imagine the outcome of it in a wider
|
|

The idea was sent to my BBM yesterday and I like it very much and it

|
will really help. We need to create the demand on the stock exchange to
|
|
counter the effect of the sudden selling and prevent it from collapsing
|
|
or more collapsing. If each can invest 100 EGP or even more if he wants
|
|
to then multiplying by the number of people who really want to help
|
|
would make a difference. Imagine 1 million people which is not that much
|
|
by the way it means 100 Million EGP pumped in to the exchange. Please
|
|
forward if you believe in it, I already started and already gathered
|
|
some of my friends who don't have accounts. Consider it charity,
|
|
investment, lost or whatever you want but do something instead of
|
|
watching. Please forward.
