Long weekend. The kids are with us again for the first time in weeks after we had COVID. Nancy is very stressed and worked all the time trying to save CIP. I am bracing for a difficult year ahead.
Farida has been particularly nice. She spent four hours straightening her hair for passport photos. I spent hours preparing their passport application files and copying documents before I took them to have their pictures taken.
Adam made another killer dinner: chicken with garlic honey sauce. I caught myself juggling in the kitchen, making the rest of the chicken while the kids ate, steaming shrimps and potatoes for N, mixing bread to bake the next morning, and showing Farida how to make rice to take rice and chicken for lunch at school tomorrow.
All while in lock.
Pretty stoked about finally moving most of my digital life to Emacs: Org-mode between computer and phone, renaming and reorganizing library and archive chronologically as possible, moving email, unifying tags, for files, notes, bookmarks and TODOs, using Getting Things Done, tracking reading lists. Glad my existing organization makes the move easy, and very excited to bring everything together.
Tired of waiting for USCIS to process my paperwork.
