This year=2C the Waterways World stand will play host to three waterways a=
uthors. Look below to see who will be joining us and when they will be ava=
ilable for talks=2C readings and signings:

Christine Richardson:
James Brindley: Canal Pioneer
With the birth of James Brindley being celebrated at Crick Boat Show (and=
nationwide)=2C it seems only fitting that Christine Richardson will join=
us at the show on Saturday 28th May.
Christine=E2=80=99s interest in Brindley began 30 years ago when her narro=
wboat moored on one of his canals=2C the Chesterfield=2C and her book is b=
ased entirely on her own original research. You can listen to Christine's=
talk=2C James Brindley - A Man of Networks and Myths=2C at 1pm in the Wat=
erways World Seminar Theatre. (Priority seating at the front of the theatr=
e will be available to book at the Show Information Point from 10am on the=
Saturday. A nominal fee of =C2=A31 will be taken to secure the booking an=
d all reservations are on a first come-first serve basis=2C so early booki=
ng is recommended.)
You can then see Christine at 2.30pm in the Waterways World stand for a bo=
ok signing.

Helen Babbs
Adrift: A Secret Life of London's Waterways
Helen Babbs will be joining us on Sunday 29th May=2C with her non-fiction=
book 'Adrift' which covers ten months of liveaboard life through the cong=
ested canals of the capital.
With a journey spanning from Leyton Marsh to the Regent=E2=80=99s Canal=2C=
and the Grand Union from Paddington to Uxbridge=2C Helen excels in charti=
ng the challenges of life afloat. With most liveaboard readers=2C no-doubt=
=2C nodding their heads in recognition=2C it should be considered mandator=
y reading for anyone contemplating life afloat!
Helen Babbs will be on the Waterways World stand at 2.30pm on Sunday 29th=
May=2C where she will be reading from Adrift followed by a book signing.

Berlie Doherty
Snowy
Last but not least=2C on Monday 30th May we welcome Berlie Doherty as she=
talks to a much younger audience about her book=2C Snowy. Winner of the C=
hildren=E2=80=99s Book Award=2C Snowy tells the story of =E2=80=98a real f=
amily=2C a real barge and a real horse=E2=80=99 and was inspired by a writ=
ing workshop that Berlie led with children from primary schools in North C=
heshire.
With content true to life=2C Snowy has been a charming bed time story for=
nearly 25 years=2C with a recent reprint in 2014 and counts among over 30=
books Berlie has authored for children and young adults including 2 Carne=
gie medal winners.
Berlie will be on the Waterways World stand on Monday 30th May at 2.30pm=
=2C with a reading from her book Snowy followed by a book signing.

With the birth of James Brindley being celebrated at Crick Boat Show (and=
nationwide)=2C it seems only fitting that Christine Richardson<em>&nbsp;<=
/em>will join us at the show on <span style=3D"color:#0000CD">Saturday 28t=
h&nbsp;May.&nbsp;</span><br>

Christine&rsquo;s interest in Brindley began 30 years ago when her narrowb=
oat moored on one of his canals=2C the Chesterfield=2C and her book<em>&nb=
sp;</em>is based entirely on her own original research. You can listen to=
Christine&#39;s talk=2C <em>James Brindley</em>&nbsp;-&nbsp;<em>A Man of=
Networks and Myths=2C&nbsp;</em>at <span style=3D"color:#0000CD">1pm in t=
he Waterways World Seminar Theatre</span>. (<span style=3D"font-size:10px"=
>Priority seating at the front of the theatre will be available to book at=

h&nbsp;May=2C</span> with her non-fiction book &#39;<em>Adrift&#39;&nbsp;<=
/em>which covers ten months of liveaboard life through the congested canal=
s of the capital.<br>

With a journey spanning from Leyton Marsh to the Regent&rsquo;s Canal=2C a=
nd the Grand Union from Paddington to Uxbridge=2C Helen excels in charting=
the challenges of life afloat. With most liveaboard readers=2C no-doubt=
=2C nodding their heads in recognition=2C it should be considered mandator=

rlie Doherty as she talks to a much younger audience about her book=2C <em=
>Snowy.&nbsp;</em>Winner of the Children&rsquo;s Book Award=2C <em>Snowy</=
em> tells the story of &lsquo;a real family=2C a real barge and a real hor=
se&rsquo; and was inspired by a writing workshop that Berlie led with chil=
dren from primary schools in North Cheshire.<br>
<br>
With content true to life=2C <em>Snowy </em>has been a charming bed time s=
tory for nearly 25 years=2C with a recent reprint in 2014 and counts among=
over 30 books Berlie has authored for children and young adults including=
2 Carnegie medal winners.<br>
